I feel you were within poetic license here

Everything seem to reflect a true feeling

The only thing I would change is
"never you would flee."
you would never flee
but that may just be me

Overall I feel you were excellent at delivering a sense of strong admiration

I don't really know what else to say but this was an amazingly cute poem. Not in the way it's written or the rhyme, but the message is damn cute. I respect that you've written this about a parental figure, it's really sweet and they're lucky to have you as their child.
This was incredibly easy to read, the rhyme was perfect, likewise the flow.
A great poem all 'round, 5/5.
