Dont Let Us Down

by Rilee Mai   Jul 2, 2009

It hurt so much to look at you,
For my gaze to meet your eyes.
I don’t see love behind them,
Just tolerance and lies.
I know that you don’t love me,
That your touch is all pretend.
You force yourself to hug me,
Longing for the end.
I wont be the one to walk away,
Our fate is in your hands.
If you don’t want a life with me,
Stand up, Speak up, and be a man.
I hate sleeping next to you,
Knowing you wish I was someone else.
I wont change who I am for you,
This is me, accept it, or go to hell.
I deserve some respect from you,
The truth would be a start.
Tell me what is going on here,
Tell me what is in your heart.
Look down deep inside yourself,
And see if I am there.
My eyes pleading, begging you,
To please give us a chance.
I wont wait by you forever,
But I am here for now.
Ill hold on until you let go,
Please don’t let us down.
