What Love Is

by Joe Moore   Aug 30, 2009

It's such a warm feeling
Everytime that you pass by
I'm like a little school boy
Everytime I see your smile
All my friends tell me
I get a look when you're by my side
It's like I'm so sure
One day you're gonna be mine

I tell them some things
You feel down in your bones
Can't deny love when
You feel like you belong

They can tease
They can joke
They can act like it's a game
It's so serious
I feel it when they speak your name

I can't lie
It's inside
I can tell this what love is

You can try
But why deny
It's real and you know it is

When I see you coming
I get these stomach pains
Can't be butterflies
The pain just ain't the same

It's more like I need to eat
After fasting a couple days
Girl you move me
In an unusual way

When I take the time
To tell you how I feel
I get a lump in my throat
And my words just disappear

When you speak
When you wave
I'm nervous and start to shake
I really don't know how much
More of this I can take

I can't lie
It's inside
I can tell this what love is

You can try
But why deny
It's real and you know it is

One day this love
Will have your heart too
Then you'll see why
I acted such a fool
That's why I stay down on my bending knees
I want god to know to bring your love to me
