Lasting love

They were two worlds apart
but faith brought them together
and made them perfect
in each others eyes
until he gave her one last kiss
it wasn't suppose to end this way
but god needed another angel
and took him in His hands
the woman sat waiting
for her dear to return
but days turned to months
and still she sat waiting
sat by the window and silently prayed
God bring him home to me
and patiently she waited
then months turned to years
and still she sat
praying for her husband
to safely come home
but the women knew that he wouldn't return
so she blew out the candle
and laid down for sleep
God bring her safely home he prayed
and with that he sat up there
in his forever promised land
waiting for his wife to join him
hand in hand.....
