A Yellow Band

Every Morning We Wake In Our Warm Beds
While He Wakes Up In The Dust And Heat
Or Even Bombs Right Above His Head
We complain about food prices, he's lucky if he gets to eat

We Complain About Our Families and Friends
And He Prays That He Gets To See His Again
We Say Things We Don't Mean And Never Make Amends
We Have No Room To Complain

You Get To Hold Your New Daughter Or Son
He Gets To Hold A Picture Of His And Wonder
You Complain About Little Sleep, When He Probably Has Had None
You Say You Hate Your Life, While His Is Torn Asunder

You Call Him Evil And A Baby Slayer
While He Gives His Life To Keep Us Safe
He's Not What You Say, He's A Hero, A Survivor
While He Deals Everyday with the Strafe

So This Is For Our Troops This Is My Stand
I'll Stand And Support You Until You Return
And In My Hair I'll Wear A Yellow Band
For Your Safety Is My Concern

So Come Home To The The States
You'll Be Welcomed Home With Open Arms
An No Matter What Remember, Your Family Awaits
And For Your Service You'll Get Rewards And Charms

Support Our Troops, Our Friends, Our Troops
Stop The War, Stop The Death, Bring Our Soldiers Back To The USA
Take A Stand, Wear A Yellow Band Or Make Up Groups
Lets Bring Our Soldiers Home To Stay
