The Dream.

by KomBAT Kitten   Dec 13, 2009

An evening so peaceful.
The sky frosted with stars.
My room lit up ambiently,
by the moon from so far.

I slid out of my clothes,
and into my bed.
For fictional characters,
no prayers would be said.

I shut off my sight,
slipped into the dream,
where he would be there,
or at least it would seem.

I drifted so softly,
to dreamland again.
It's not always happy,
but it's got me and my man.

I want to spend forever,
in my gorgeous dreamland,
where we kiss in the rain,
and walk hand in hand.

But realities cruel,
your so far away,
but the distance could never,
change my hearts way.

This is very beautiful, and there are so many people feel this way. i love your rhyming scheme, that is usually how I like to rhyme.

Very true, only if we could stay in our dreamlands. But your right realities stink at times when our eye lids slide open! I like this poem.
