Where am I? Who are these people?
It's amazing how different everything is,
But I'm terrified... Where is my family?
These people aren't so bad,
But I wish I had my family back.
These humans say it's a pound.
Why wasn't I wanted?
There are so many other animals here.
Did their families not want them either?
Wait - who are those people?
They are taking him away!
Apparently, the people taking us away are good.
They want us - to love us and give us a home.
They promise not to leave us again,

I see people come in day in and day out
To take another friend and leave me alone.
I don't know what I did, but I wish I was wanted.
