Past, Present, Future

by InvisiblyHeartless   Jan 29, 2011

Drowning in her own bloody dreams
The land where everything is not what it seems
Splicing her soul for an offering, a sacrifice
When in two her heart and mind slice
She puts the gun to her skull, nothing in mind
The girl pulls the trigger, looking for a sign
Waiting...waiting...waiting, as she rolls the dice
Drowning in her own bloody dreams

Into eternity without a touch of pain
Not to worry her about keeping sane
Her lips breathe a small sip of air
Releasing it, and her heart, with gentle care
Into the world wherever souls travel
When in empty time, they begin to unravel
Fascinated by the caniving little dare
Into eternity without a touch of pain

Giving birth to a new dream in death
When no longer will her lungs have breath
Her lips are pursed as her body crumbles
And into the soulless life her thoughts tumble
The dice read wrong, opening the door
Hellhounds come to suckle from her core
Because the bullet exploded with not a fumble
Giving birth to a new dream in death

The present connects the past to the future
Closing her wounds with a surgical suture
Slowly drifiting away to a nightmarish place
Where no one believes in extending grace
And life comes to a screeching halt
To point out her every minuscule fault
Life for her dissolves without a trace
As
The present connects the past to the future
