Last night's Romance

by XXMindCrazeXX   Jun 7, 2011

Lying here next to you, in a familiar way like we always do.
I look your way to match those eyes, that see straight through my darkest disguise.
Sitting in silence hidden behind our desire,
kissing those soft pale lips, raising my temperature higher.
butterflies everywhere, my body goes numb,
listening to our dark lullaby through the ravens soft hum.

Just here with you, in our own field of flowers,
wondering where the night went, as time turns to hours.
the sun is setting, away goes the night,
her face falls to despair, but her soul still burns bright.
The stars are fading to the light in her eyes,
what beautiful abyss, and such lonely goodbyes..
Just as always, good things must come to an end,
I embrace her softly wishing our time would extend..
Thinking to myself, why cant night forever stay,
as I let her go gently, watching her vanish away.
