You promised me the world, but all I got was pain.
Your promised me peaceful nights, but instead I went insane.
You promised me every second you had, but pretended I didn't exist.
You promised me affection and love, I never got one single kiss.
You promised to keep me safe, but it was you that made me hide.
You promised to make me beautiful, but you took my beauty and pride.
You promised me a future, that would fill my heart with love.
Instead you took all my dreams that shone like the stars above.
Well let me tell you something, You can have everything you took.
All your broken promises, have closed the last chapter of this book.
I warned you I would leave you, if you didn't change your ways.
I guess you didn't believe me and you thought I'd always stay.
At least I can hold my head up, knowing it wasn't me who lied.
I kept my promise to you, I finally said goodbye.
