Kiss of Rain

by Ric Hansen   Oct 24, 2011

To touch you
To feel
Intangible, surreal

I'm drawing your face in my mind
Through windows
I'm glancing
Drawn stick figures dance the first time...

The sun sets on pillows
Of mist laden sorrows
The dark windswept willows
Now sleep till tomorrow

Then dance again
As the whispering wind
Cries a soft kiss of rain

To want you
Forever
My most precious treasure

I can't mend this pain shattered soul

the fragments
still flying
As flowers left dying let go...

The sun sets on pillows
Of snow covered mountains
The crash of swift rivers
Lift fleeting light fountains
As droplets fall
masking useless tears
like a soft kiss of rain
