Imaginary Friend (Part one)

by Angelica   Dec 8, 2011

How can you stare at an empty space and see a face,
No vocal cords but you hear a voice?

But there are things I wanna say and things I need to hear.
"You can't There's a time and place for everything dear."

No, not in my head things play out so perfectly.
Like I'm in a script written so realistically.

"No need for scripts, you never know,
They'll happen someday, just go with the flow."

Those weren't your words when YOU needed to hear.
You asked and I simply replied, but with fear.

Then you cut off my ears and glued your mouth shut
Like tic. toc. No worries no rush.

I stare at my risk but I have no watch on
No time to wait for by gone to be by gone

I wonder if you have an imaginary friend like I do
If you stare at empty spaces, and respond to no sounds to0..

Whether it's in class, or late into the night. Early dawn, or past midnight. My head is in the clouds, I'm off into daydream land, and reality is a factor of whatever I'm thinking of. I LOVE THIS POEM!
