Fear of The Unknown

Why do people who don't believe in God try to drag others down with them? Some might use the excuse that they're just as guilty/innocent as those who try to make people believe in God when they don't. However, it is not the same situation. In this case, you might be wondering why. A person who is "atheist" or a none-believer has no choice but to believe in his/herself. If you have no hope, any knowledge beyond what we can see here on earth, then what are you to live for? You basically are living for you, yourself and the backstabbing, untrustworthy people around you. That doesn't seem like much to live for. The worst part is when we die. Is that it? This crucial life of unpaid debts and prostitution, was that only to live for? That's where the fear comes in. Those who claim not to believe in anything out of this world or extraordinary powers knows that if they're wrong, they'll have to face life after death; being heaven or hell. No one wants to face billions of years in a burning bit, so they fear. That same fear urges them to try to convince others not to believe either because--misery needs company. So another words, us trying to convince those who don't believe isn't wrong because we want them to rejoice and have the same victory that we will. However, for those who try to convince believers into Not believing comes from their selfishness of not wanting to go down alone. After all, how much could it hurt? Would it really kill us to try to get along, or "turn the other cheek" every now and then? Even if there wasn't a God, it wouldn't hurt to go by the guide that the bible provides for us because everything in there is design to protect us. Like "thy shall not kill" If you do, you end up behind bars. Or "Obey your mom and dad." and if you don't, you end up on the streets trynna live with a homgurl/boy. The point is, believe it or not, it's real. Do you really want to live as if there isn't a God only to find out at the end that there was a God? Or do you want to live as if there is a God, and even if there wasn't, you keep your head up high cause you lived the life that no other man could? This is just me and what I've been thinking.
