Colm, whenever I read a piece of yours, I get surprised. Your criativity has no limits. I really liked how you personified poetry here.It is very interesting. Sometimes I think poetry enslaves me. I see it as a woman so I call it she all the time.
Some time ago I wrote a poem in Portuguese talking about the idea of being Poetry's slave. Well I really don't mind having the best Mistress/Master in the world.Loved your poem. You know I'm always in awe of your work.

Wow, Colm. Another amazing piece by you, but this one really shows off your unique style. It's really becoming more and more brilliant with every poem that you write.

"found him posing for his similes,
    throwing flirtatious glances at metaphors
    and personifying himself."

-- Those were definitely my favorite lines; they put the topper on thinking of poetry in a different light or even as a human being.

    Superbly written like always.

I feel like this poem doesn't really get off the ground until the third stanza. The first two stanzas seem a bit childish to me, but in the third stanza, your personification becomes more sophisticated and credible... and the ending is quite good.
