A light glowing from the pulpit and throughout the air
The sound of a voice filled with meaning and care
Qualities of a true angel brought to us from above
This angel will be missed but will leave knowing he is loved
To make us grow by slowly filling the gap we created
To heal past wounds through spiritual words God once stated
You came when we needed you most, you made our church shine
Which proves once again that God is always on time
He brought you to us, now He wants to take you away
Some things I don't understand but I'll see you again some day
People most precious to me are taken away from me too soon
But I know I'll feel your love in the presence of the moon
You came with love in your heart and changed us all
You picked up our pieces and wouldn't allow us to fall
I just knew, for a long time, you would always be there
But God has called for you, now your love we must share
I thought that somehow He would allow us to keep you
I guess He knows others are in need of your love too
I wish you didn't have to leave us right now, I want you to stay
But if God sees fit He'll return you to us on any given day
To know you are the reason we have grown so much
To know you will no longer be within our touch
Brings many doubts to mind leaving my soul filled with sorrow
Because we need your guidance to make it through tomorrow
I'll try to believe that you will be back to spread more love
I'll keep believing that you are a true gift from above
I will miss you dearly, you will remain in my heart
I don't want you to go because it will hurt to be apart
But I understand that God has other plans in store for you
