Tomorrow.

by Jenn   Apr 26, 2012

The air I breathe, the light I see.
The only good part of me,
You are loved profoundly.

My one true masterpiece.
The one thing I did right,
In my sin polluted life...

The antidote, for my sorrow.
The oxygen, feeding my flame.
Since the day you came into my life,
I knew I'd never be the same.

Three years flew by to quickly,
Fifteen will go just as fast.
Wanting to stop forever in this moment...
This perfect second out of thousands.
With you.

I'm wishing for the impossible, something that can not be
Simple yet complicated I am bound...
To tomorrow.

This is a poem for my son.

Jenn, I did not know this was for your son!
At first read, it's like for a lover or something, but when I read the message at the bottom and re-read this, it makes complete sense. Throughout all your poems, I read a little bit of your son here and there, and I wish I myself have an inspiration like that. All your poems are heart-felt, they grab the readers and push them to the brink of getting teary-eyed. Among all the poems submitted, this was obviously the most beautiful and emotionally impacting. Amazing job. Keep writing :)

First i want to say i love this poem
    So much love,so much emotions
hmm there are a few mistakes in it tho
"Three year's flew by to quickly"
    year's---years
    "I'm wish for the impossible,"
    should be
    "I wish for the impossible"
    or
    "I'm wishing for the impossible"

    good job 5/5 =)
