Rejoice (Crown Oddquain).

by Steven Beesley   Jun 4, 2012

Words
that I scroll
down upon parchment
reflecting on my inner
soul

Feel
the strength of
my written verse now
for all to see and read out
loud

Fill
my heart with
laughter, day to day
Share with me a glass of red
wine

Laugh
together
with me on tiny,
odd, trivial things we shall
find

Joy
in friendship
between you and I
Rejoice in the life that we
share

Oddquain is a short, usually unrhymed poem consisting of seventeen syllables distributed 1, 3, 5, 7, 1 in five lines, developed by Glenda L. Shank.

Interesting form..have heard of it but never have
tried it and reading your poem makes it sound easy..friendships are to be rejoiced and treasured and each verse here shows how much friendship means to you..well done!
