Sad write syrup, but i did love it..... i have to say it just dripped in emotion...and that little 'thee' at the end there was a really nice touch, as soon as i read that word i just had to start again in case i missed something, that word change the feel of it (for me anyway) in a really nice way it almost push it back a hundred years or three :-)

Perfectly executed and straight for the soul as always....fantastic xxx

Very sweet poem with a dark touch to it.

Great use of metaphors too ;)

I like this poem, I also like the rhymes that I could spot within this poem. Perhaps, they might not be intentional. But they added a nice touch to this piece, Free and thee.. I also liked the ending with thee, instead of using you.. it sounds more loving and caring. I'm not a fan of poems that have those type of words like thee and thou, but there are a few that do captivate me, like this one and I guess it's because those words weren't overused.

I can feel the sadness hun, reading this poem.

The idea of morphine, some kind of release from physical pain but it can never heal the emotional hurt we go through.

    Awesome poem hun.

I've read this about 10 times already trying to find the right words to say... I'm not good at critiquing and I don't want to write "omg, i love this" all the time, but I do, you are amazing! I definitely love every line and the last word "thee" made this poem even better.
