    My Favorite poem from you.
I love the strength of your words, the way it drew me in. I wanted to continue reading, then I got to the end and that did it for me. An awesome way to end the poem.

This poem made me go YEAH! that's how it's done.

I like the turn this poem took liz....everyone needs to come to this realization today. Being a victim or victor is by choice. We have the power to choose if we want to survive circumstances.

Loved this...and still in love with the first stanza!

Abuse of any kind is nothing but
power and control. The abuser has become
    completely detached from any emotions.
Enough is enough, we need to free ourselves
from such cruelty, often leaving scars
    behind.
    excellent

    Good for you!
I'm so glad that you no longer will be a victim, but a strong survivor! It takes a strong woman to stand up for herself when she has been pushed down so many times.

    A powerful write, love it.

Another beautiful poem, Liz. As with most of your poems, if not all, I believe this one also has a deeper meaning to it.

    'You may be able
    to see the bruises on
    my skin but you cannot
    see the bruises around
    my heart,'

^ Love this part right here. The beginning catches my attention right away, and I must say that it is beautiful. It is also true - I believe that we suffer so much more mentally than physically sometimes.

    'For so long I
    was the victim
    of your livid emotions
    which somehow brought
    me down with you.'

^ I love this stanza as well. Beautiful.

I have to agree with Luce, and Kyra. The ending was marvelous. It made me want to fight back with you. I also love the strength that is showing in this poem, because it indicates that you have come a long way.

    Excellent
    5/5

    Lizzy...

I am just sitting here and wanting not to comment. Actually too sad t comment and this write just made me sigh. A damn deep sigh. What a strength you do have to admit such a thing. :/ I think it's time for me to do so.

Love this and love you even more. Missed you.

Beautiful, as always, Liz.. your writings are so close to my heart and mind, very light while reading, yet denser than mountains in meaning. Ugh... you always move me.
