These Little Spaces

by Lu Tinson   Apr 3, 2013

You fill me up with just one drop of your love
And when I'm running on empty, these little spaces are magnified
Tiny gaps make me feel incomplete
And I feel alone in a crowded street

You knock me back with just one breath
And when I'm gasping for your air, I've got nothing else left
My lungs feel empty without your breath
Choking on the emptiness

And these little spaces are magnified
When I lose sight of you as your feelings turn quiet
You don't mean everything - you're not my all
But when you disappear, I can't handle the fall

Imperfections coated in beauty
Heart strings pulled, now hanging loosely
And while you slowly disappear from view
I'm still left tangled up in you
