In all the world

by Chelsey   Aug 19, 2013

There are moments where finding your escape resides in a sight
or in a sound. There are places that free us from our tension and
subsides what overwhelms us. To name a few, I use to find peace
in....

southern summers, where crickets and midnight trains serenaded
the moon. The Atlantic ocean, crashing into boardwalks and tourist
toes. I found freedom on balconies of hotels and engines of rental
cars; church bells of cathedrals and the pouring of rain.

now...nothing compares to

the song that's in your laughter. I get lost in its chime and fall
victim to its capture. I must be your winter, because that smile
melts my cold heart that I swore would never change. Then there's
the security in your hug, the protection in your grasp.

I would choose you over any place that has ever made me feel
at ease.

My favorite sight, my favorite sound...
has changed to the beauty you project
when you're with me.

Oh man Chels, this is so beautiful and touching it warms my heart right away! How true it is that specific sights/sounds may stop us in our tracks and speak to us, giving us the freedom we crave. I love the imagery you give and the softness of how though that has changed, you know this bond you have with this person is pure beauty.... there may have been doubts before but now you want to spend time together, and it will always be cherished.

Can't comment anymore, this piece is just so special!!
