Tomorrow

by konpreah   Jan 9, 2015

Come forth with dogs
To worship sheep
Tomorrow has the aura of peace

(Except the gleaming knives
The dreaming knives)

Come forth undead
With weakling pups
And dancing children
For tomorrow flees the stormy war

(Except the feasting lords
The fasting priests)

Come forth tomorrow
Bearing gentle lambs

(And hungry wolves)

And pretty lovers

(And savage warriors)

For tomorrow smells sweet of life

(Nay, the stench of blood
For tomorrow is the massacre)

Thanks for saying so. I wrote it a few months after I got back from Vietnam.

A haunting read. But also beautiful Full of vivid imagery that your mind could run with for hours
