Eight Beautiful Balloons

Eight Beautiful Balloons

Mother's Day was Sunday
it was the first one
without you here
on earth

I sent you a card
carefully chosen
with memories written in ink
signed with lots of love
and sealed with a kiss

I hope you got it
it came by way of
eight beautiful balloons

Oh Ang Ang, this is adorable and so touching. It just shows that we never forget the ones we love, and there are so many things we can do to still cherish them, and their life, and remember everything they were and are to us!

I love the idea of the balloons, I am so grateful that we can have this to do. Your wording is very peaceful and smooth, making this poem read like that which would be inside a card for this situation.

I think the poem is even more touching because it is not only in memory of your mother, but also celebrating Mother's day, which is a day that grabs at our grief.

You are a beautiful poet, never stop writing please.
