This is beautiful and heart breaking. . . it strives to and quite succeeds in finding words for that existential place "cemented between life and death" where the prospect of dying is what somehow also keeps you alive. It is the place where death and life exist ever present, ever together. Cemented was a fantastic choice of word, conveying this place of in between has it's own sense of eternity, of ever lasting. It is a strange and terrible place where dying is a freedom worth hoping for.
