Him

by littleone   Jan 15, 2016

I've known you for 3 years and no matter how hard i try i cant have you.
I love seeing your name pop up on my phone. I turn vibrant red.
You're my best friend.

I get butterflies every time we dance.
I love when you lay your head on mine in the middle of George Straits' The Chair.
I never want that to end. I wanna be in your arms taking life in.

That night you came to my house on our three year you said you loved me,
and every time you say it I always say it back.
That night I held on to your dog tags until I fell asleep.
That was the safest I've ever felt. Ever.
We talked about how you never wanted to let me go. I never wanted you to.
I fell for you a long time ago and i just never got the chance with you.
I want that chance.

I know you care about me a lot, enough to only want me for yourself.
I just hope our time is soon. I will be here for you forever no matter what.
I've fallen hard.
i just wish you knew.

A great piece of writing Littleone, whoever you are.
I love Love poems, and this is a good one.
May the Love last forever. Look after it, as Love is a fragile thing.
    Very well written.

    Hello,

As Ben says, an intimate piece. It is funny how when we write the words seems to flow so easily. But, when try to speak them, especially to who they are intended for it become too difficult.

    Maybe share this with 'Him'?

    Take care,

    Michael

Hi, and welcome to the site.

This piece has a very intimate feel to it - honest and moving. Nothing affects us quite like powerful love, does it?

"That night I held on to your dog tags until I fell asleep. That was the safest I ever felt. Ever."

    I love those two lines.

Well done on this and keep writing,
    All the best, Ben
