The Blessed One

by RustySoul   Aug 31, 2016

Sweet lady, I speak no lies
When I say, through this rhyme,
In your love I have grown wise
And love is but a sweet crime.

None like you, oh the blessed one!
E'er dwelt among the common lot,
Many a heart you've won
And many, your love had sought.

Though the best of all creations
Are found upon the Earth and skies
What good are they to me, my love?
I behold the universe in your eyes.

Ever so ageless and sublime
Years shall not steal away your youth
You'll transcend distance and time
This, my dear, is profound truth.
