Ship in a Bottle

by Courtney Hough   Sep 4, 2017

Not again.
No, this will end today,
My ship wont be in your bottle.
Not anymore.
This illness won’t sink me,
I will not hit the reef.
I will;
Get better and patch up,
Be strong through rough waters.
Break the bottle.
Full sail! Head for the sea,
Give me the Captain’s hat let me steer.
Never again;
Will I be trapped in your jail,
Finally free from you; to live on the open sea.

    This says: "come at me if you will but I'll do everything in my power to not let you beat me down" a piece that hits home in a powerful way.
