True Love

by Sai Vara Prasad Potharaju   Sep 30, 2017

You broke my heart,
To umpteen pieces.
I shall regret not,
For I have loved you once and forever.

My soul will leave the body,
On your wedding day.

The church bells may sing,
A wedding song for you.
Your husband may garland you,
And you may garland him in turn.

My body will await you,
In the cemetery behind.
My body will await you,
To garland it.
Please shed one drop a tear,
Before my body is buried.

My soul will await you
Up in the heaven,
For one simple reason that,
I love you.
