    HOLY FK DUDE..

Black is the colour of my blood
When depression shows its ugly face
    In my mind
When the anguish tares my skin
    Like skinning a beast
    Caught in the wild.

    THIS IS ... JUST.... SPEECHLESS...

Seriously.. this whole piece is amazing... I felt my emotions going up and down just like a dam yoyo (not the biscuit)!!!

    Well done

Mark this is brilliant ... the analogy so unusual but really works here. Deep, profound, dark and twisty. Love it! Well done :-) x

Mark, dear friend, what to say, you always leave us speechless with your writing.
You always find something unique to write about.
    A poem about yo-yo.
    And relating yourself to it.

The second stanza where you added my favorite color became my favorite stanza too.

Your poems are always so amazing to me. The way your imagery plays out inside the readers head is stunning. I love each stanza here honestly. Because you take something so simple, a simple concept like a yo yo and make the read feel a certain emotion. It is not easily done at all but you did well.

In my mind you used so many metaphors but two big ones. The colour black and the string of the yoyo. I think tgere is a general idea though, but I'll get to that. The string is heartbreaking because

I think a lot of people connect to it well. A lot of people say love is a gamble and it does a lot of times leave something around your heart, Ie heartstrings. At first they always seem to not be there because you don't realize it, but as it becomes more appearat, you feel them get pulled more and more. Which leads into the colour black.

I think this is not a metaphor per se but... it symbolizes darkness, depression anything like that. But you used it describe it well. The emotions you let the reader feel are wonderfully written.

In general though, i think it could be kind of the "same" two things a lover breaks your heart or depression is your love and it is pulling on your heartstrings and leaving you to feel black, and they are always using you.

This is an excellent piece either way you look at it.
