So many authors write about natural disasters and terrible things like this, but I think it is incredible when they do, because each one is so unique and they all have different takes on the events or images they use to recreate the scene or help the communities or individuals affected to heal or be remembered or come together in their time of chaos. This is absolutely no exception.

For being such a short piece, nothing was left out, but it was also incredibly tempered considering the pain that this incident caused so many people - even indirectly. Beautifully penned. Congratulations on the nomination!
