Love, romance /
Perched on the edge of your world
My legs dangling over the side
Swinging them in time to your tune
Waiting for the other shoe to drop
I'll never be invited in
If I jump the ledge I'll be an unwelcome guest
The annoying drunk at the party
Who ruined the big speech with heckling
Existing on your periphery
Blurred and out of focus
Unintrusive and convenient
In anticipation of charitable scraps
Erm? ... no thanks!
Kitty, from this poem it clearly reflects that you give your 100 percent in almost everything. Whether it's life or poetry. I would love to read few more free verse poems from you.

I'm a 'trier' for sure Shane :-) Thanks for your lovely comments ... the odd free verse does happen for me, but rhymes rule my heart :-) x

A free verse sort of piece with some wonderful metaphors throughout. I like this a lot, Kitty.
Thanks Ben, so glad you like it. It's fun for me to do different stuff occasionally :-) x
Oh Miss Kitty
A different style I like it very much. The truth so very well put. With a couple of glasses of vino!
Great write lady
