Thank You

I remember the night,
We laid in your bed.
Our hands intertwined,
My head on your chest.

I was completely drunk,
Such an ugly mess.
But you didn't care,
You let me get rest.

You never took advantage,
Like some guys I know.
You been through my struggles,
When the world was so cold .

You brought me peace,
When I angered or hurt .
You saw I was disappearing,
& showed me what I deserve.

It isn't much..
But I still want to thank you,
For always being there
& not giving up.

    Loyalty is the best quality someone can have. It's always important to be there for someone.
    I felt as I read this that you were teaching me the importance of loyalty. Poems with a teaching make them so much better. I could be wrong, but poetry is different in everyones eyes, right?

      Thank you! Yes. It is different which makes it all the more beautiful. You never know what some one is going through . Poetry always has something to offer.
