Reflection

by Anton Pantoya   Jun 15, 2018

Nighttime rolls by and dusk falls upon us

We’re all insomniacs
The free thinkers from the day

Also the complete rebellious

As we explore our thoughts in the moon glow

Artists are gaining creativity
While the rest of us go with the flow

Yet despite us all being different

We all have so much in common

The light of night, and the calm peace that has fallen

Can’t you feel the magic in the air and wonder in the dark?

If no, step outside tonight

You’ll see what you’ve been missing out...

This is the parade for misfits, weirdos, eccentrics alike
We’re the freethinkers and artists trying to keep this parade aflight

You may not see us, but we see you

Oddly in this darkness filled with black and dark blue
The stars light up, can’t you see?
There’s that beauty within you and me

This whole night is a reflection of ourselves, you see?

You can’t hide from it, because then you’d hide from yourself

Give into the night, and I’ll restore you back to health...
