Heartthrob

by Hope   Jun 20, 2018

Black and blue in the shadows;
where would you go?
a heart of steel-a stone cold face:
love made real: a human heart beat,
every stone made the road paved:
a hand to hold beneath midnight shadows-
every hand-print for me to follow:
where'd you go?
where will you go?

Corinth-ion in every shade....
and by the way;
I see the treason in the month of May...

black in every vein, blood in the heart:
how does the human heart beat?
thorns are kept in the dark:
only out in the open to seek;
what would you see in the soul?
'cause as you bleed-
you'll see an autumn tint of gold-
what are the eyes you behold?

a human heart...
leave me a contraption in the dark;
beneath midnight-beneath the stars;
a breath of gold from the light....

A human heartbeat....
where'd you go in the night? a love so real-
cross out the night and see it all in my eyes:
gone in the wind-blue waves in my veins-
what are the dead words said?
brought down by catastrophic faith:
time can only heal, what would you see?
all in every breathe, what do you hide?
cryptic in your soul-mystic in the cold...
eyes I've seen: warmth from the cold-
light 'em up for the love...
