A Full Hope

A FULL HOPE
By
Muhammad Amiruddeen

Every day I think it my last,
One thing with it ends so fast,
But the hope in you lifts me high,
From the pit of the daily lies,

Every day I live a lifeless life,
A life of chasing shadows in dark moonless night,
Dark pitch like an angry black mice,
Like a standing fan in a wintertime,

Every day I call to you broken,
Every day you answer my cries,
I take refuge in your heavenly love,
That comfort me in my gloomy days,

When I'm moody, grumpy and full of crap,
Your benevolence makes me whole again.
You wipe the tears from my red swelled eyes,
You are my rock shielding me from my rookie moves,

Fledgling peddling the skill of flight,
To you alone I call and bank my trust,
In my heart your name resounds a thousand folds.

This starts off quite a dark piece. With thoughts of each day being your last but there is that tiny glimmer of hope mentioned in the first stanza that makes the reader want to read further. As the piece unfolds we see a love someone who can offer comfort even on the gloomiest days. The acknowledgement that the writer is moody and depressed yet this love is their rock shielding and supporting them. It is an emotional piece that is full of sadness but with love and trust comes redemption. Milly x
