I Cannot Walk Alone

by patrick   Feb 23, 2026

I cannot walk alone,
trapped in the web of my own emotions,
threads twisting, pulling,
a labyrinth of my knee jerk fears.
I need the knowledge of true love,
a compass in the storm, My true north!
a hand that steadies,
a heart that speaks without words.
My rules, my everything, relies on you.
I long for guidance from you,
a spark to light the shadowed paths
where courage alone cannot tread.
A two-way lesson on a dark day
Teach me the language of connection,
the art of giving without losing,
of opening without fear,
of being whole in the presence of our mutual love.
I cannot walk alone —
let my love for you, be our teacher,
let trust be our guide,
and let my heart lead me home to you.
