Many words of love

by Miss Rinoa   Apr 15, 2005

Call me "shadow,"
and I'll walk in your step.
I'll never leave you, never.
Except,
I won't help you find your way
out of the darkness.

Call me "sunshine,"
and I'll bring light into your life.
I'll lift your spirits and give you warmth,
but I'll only watch and wait
as you fight your way through
rain and storms and other such disasters.

Call me "moonlight,"
and I'll give you romance.
I'll sing sweet lullabies to you as the stars twinkle,
glowing pale and wondrous.
Yet I'll fade into the daylight and never
see you at your best.

Call me "rose," or "blossom," or "petunia,"
and I'll hand you myself and natural beauty.
I'll show no shame but pride in us,
however, when I wilt and rot away,
you'll know for sure that
I'm only temporary.

Call me "armor," or "love,"
and I'll define it for you.
I'll give my life, my time, my all,
to make things work for the both of us.
I'll be your shadow, your sunshine, your moonlight, your rose,
and more... so much more.
