Mother's Day Without You

by Ann Stareyes   May 7, 2005

Eventhough you're no longer with me,
I still honor you every Mother's Day,
The tears continue to fall,
And the hurt don't go away.

Roses were your favorite flower,
I gave them to you every year,
It will always be my tradition,
Mothers day always brings me tears.

I wish I could hear your voice,
And give you a great big hug,
I wish I could see your face,
And once again feel your love.

I wish I still had you near,
To wipe away life's tears,
So many times I've needed you,
In these past 8 years.

Once again I'll visit your grave,
Carrying 8 red roses this year,
It gets harder being without you,
I've cried so many tears.

Once again I'll tell you,
How much I Love and Miss You,
I'll just pray for comfort,
God once again will help me through.

It's so hard everyone. If you still have your Mom, Cherish her, because I miss mine so. Every single day I think of her and that special bond we had.

A very beautiful and sad poem Ann. I pray God continues to grant you comfort and strength. I don't know how you feel, I can only imagine. You know enough to know that if you ask, you shall receive. God bless you Ann, you are one awesome lady.
