Over-rated

I still remember,
when i surrendered
and gave my love to you

You had my heart
from the start
and here i played the fool

It mezmerized
once i realized
what you said to me

All the while
I had smiled
but we were'nt meant to be

But that's ok
I'm not afraid
about the future up ahead

I knew this day
would come any way
Up inside my head

So through my anticipation
I made a proclamation
and in no way has it faded

That any love
from up above
Is surely overrated
