Daddy's Day

I've truly been blessed
To have you all these years
I thank God each and every day
You're just precious and dear.

Mom left us many years ago
The pain was hard to bare
With God's help we got through
He knew how much we cared.

Now as you're growing older
You now always look to me
To be there beside you
When you're sick or just in need.

You've always been there for me
Through out all my years
Now we'll continue to walk together
To share our love, happiness and tears.

I want you to know I'll be here
As long as God gives me breath
I'll be your Angel here on earth
I'd never leave you by yourself.

I Love you so much, Dad
More than you'll ever know
I'll travel this journey with you
Where ever it may go.

    Ann, I loved this poem, it sounds exactly like something I would need to write for my dad.....same story, I have no other sisters, only brothres, and its just not the same as "daddy's little girl", I loved it as usual...take care and know how much I love reading your work.....love ya becky

    Oh Ann, beautiful dedication to your dad. I know how much you love him and that you will always be there for him. We daughters tend to be that way with our parents. I am sure dad knows....... Bless your heart.
