Bitter Sweet Ending

by Lucy D1am0nd   Aug 27, 2005

Place your hand in mine,
We'll go for a stroll.
I'll fill your mind,
With story's of gold.

I'll buy you a ring,
And propose my love.
I'll tell the world,
As I take off your glove.

Your fingers are pale,
Cold as are mine.
You know I've been waiting,
For just the right time.

You know that I love you,
And I know you love me.
Please say, I do
A perfect end to our story.

I knell down before you,
Tears in your eyes.
The last thing I would think of,
Is your bitter sweet demise.

How could I live without you,
The love of my life.
Together for eternity,
Husband and wife.

We keep on walking,
Ring on your hand.
In the darkness of the park,
Cold wind blowing through your hair.

Blue moonlight shining,
We go to cross the street.
A car comes racing down,
And sweeps you off your feet.

We were holding hands,
So close, now so far.
Your crimson red blood,
All over their car.

People are screaming,
As they run to help you.
Your body is limp,
Theres nothing they can do.

I stand in the darkness,
Tears full of fear.
Then take a few steps ,
Your body appears.

I bend down beside you,
Not knowing what to say.
Then you whisper to me,
"It's meant to be this way".

I cannot tell you the similarity this bears to my own life story, therefore it strikes me deeply and quite passionatly. Truly well done.
