My Family

by CynicxSincexBirth   Aug 29, 2005

My life is funny, to the untrained eye
My parents are wonderful, but thats a lie
My family's a joke, to all who aren't blind
I'm breaking down, in my own state of mind
My daddy is mean, he likes to hit me at night
I don't know why, but he really likes to fight
I was only eight, when he had had enough
Decided no one loved me, but hey, life is rough
Opened the door, and pulled me half way
Screamed obscenities, that I dare not say
But even though I cried, I asked daddy why he was mad
I didn't understand him, isn't he my dad?
If he is, there must be some mistake
How could he be acting, is he really just a fake?
I never understood, why my mother just sat there
Acting as though, she was really not aware
Unaware of the heart, breaking right in front of her eyes
Bad words spoken and faces turned away, as one soul dies
My family is corrupted, by social appearance
No one cares for me, my sanity's a clearance.
