Her spirit locked within

by Charles Roberts   Sep 16, 2005

The essence of her spirit is locked within my heart, but the remnants or our memories, are seen clearly in the dark.

It is when the day has ended that I have to face my fears. For it's my heart thats not yet mended, when her image re-appears.

I tell myself I'm glad it's over that our relationship was weak, and that I know longer need to hold her. As the tears run down my cheek.

Sleep would be my salience, my refuge it would seem, but even in my slumber. Her spirit haunts my dreams.
