TRAIL OF TEARS

Worlds away in a state of mind,
Thinking about what made me happy last time
The joy lost that with him I have only ever found,
But then it hits me and I am laying alone in bed
Looking all around seeing him not there,
Sorrowful cries and the trail of my tears are found
Follow it and you'll find an ocean to drown

Down the hills and over the bend,
And I envision him staring back at me,
but I know it's only my imagination
with tears in my eyes once again I begin to cry

night mare night and thinking days,
him on my mind can I only ever find,
the thought's I think could blow your mind,
but this trail of tears I want you to find,
then will you only know what I think
or what's on my mind

envisions of us and the memories I thought
I think that with out him my heart is lost
I need him here with me only then can
I get this trail of tears to stop
and my ocean dry, with him I don't cry
