Hold My Hand

Could you hold my hand for just a little while?
This rickety breathing is beginning to slow down.
Please hold on tighter to this cold, frail hand
For surely there's not much time left for me now.

Spinning and shifting from this world to the next,
There's hardly even a moment to stop and look back.
Yes please hold on a while longer, for I'm a bit scared
As my existence begins to gradually fade to black.
