Tenderness Comes From Pain

by Michelle   Jan 18, 2006

When I look back on the times, I remember so clearly,
I find myself wondering, couldn\'t anybody hear me?,
Memories of being content, were taken away so quick,
I look back on my pain and begin to feel sick,
The pain may have been hidden, but it was always there,
I always assumed, there was no one who cared,
The skies are now changing from bitter gray to tender blue,
Slowly tears are erased, this whole time no one ever knew,
For I am no longer young, my childhood was stolen by pain,
Yet with every experience I had, more wisdom I\'d gain,

No one can teach you how to forget,
There is no solution to fix all you regret,
So fix yourself one day at a time,
And I hope you will never feel the pain that was mine.
