When you rest your head at night,
It seems the world is asleep,

But I am still awake,
You will never know pain this deep,

When you smile at your life,
And look upon success you hold,

I stare ahead no thoughts no restraints,
You will never feel this cold,

When you look ahead at dreams and goals,
And other things you seek,

For I can't escape my crippled heart,
You will never be this weak,

When you live for only love,
And nothing else you lack,

I strain my eyes to look at you,
For your soul contains no cracks,

When you stand after falling,
despite the tears you cry,

I never understand your strength,
Don't you ever question why?,

When you look upward,
You can see the cloudless light,

I live down in the constant dark,
You will never hear my fright,

Don't be scared I'll always be here even after you rise above,
I will envy you always, for, my life encloses no love.
