Examples of an Unreachable Future

by Martyna   Feb 13, 2006

I was with all of you, and
alone last night.
The bottles became empty,
hoping to fill
something else.
How long do I have to wait for everything
to feel right again?
For him,
for them,
for these feelings to cease and drift away.
Everything seems to be a constant example of
everything that
I can never have,
of dreams that,
surely will
never be reached.
I will
stumble to my bed and
sleep forever.
Untouched,
forever undisturbed.

Hon, don't look for that in a bottle. I'm pretty sure you won't find whatever it is there.
