Infatuation

by Geoff Clemence   Feb 23, 2006

Infatuation is the feeling felt
After lust but before attachment
Stronger than lust more exciting than love
To me you are an enchantment

Every time that I see your face through my eyes
My heart races and then skips a beat
Just the thought of you as I lay on my bed
Makes it impossible for me to sleep

I want you here and I want you now
Forever seems so possible to me
I can't find faults or anything bad
Through blind eyes I can only see

I love what you say and I love what you do
We make love about five times a day
I desperately want you to know how I feel
And how much of your life I do crave

This feeling of desire means everything for now
There's nothing else that could come close in my mind
I go out with the boys and I go play my sports
But these interests I just can't seem to find

You seem to be everything I've ever wanted
You're everything I could ever need
Take everything I have in my life up till now
If I have you then my life is complete

You're my rose in a garden that's surrounded by flowers
You're my candle in a dimly lit room
And if this infatuation continues to build
Then it's love that I will feel real soon...
