Cliche

Cliche

As I sit here,
gazing out the window.
Just like the old cliche goes,
my mind wanders to you.
I suppose it's meant too.

I often find myself,
lost in cliches, nowadays.
Those love songs all sing to me.
And I read our old story,
in the worn pages of romance novels.

Do you think of me?
As you gaze out the window,
somewhere in the depths of your mind?
I really hope you do.
I suppose I'm meant too.

This is great.I love how you used the cliche subject to convey something we have all felt, yet it's done in a such a fresh(non-cliched-lol) way.A very heartfelt and touching piece. The use of the last line in the first stanza as the last line in the final stanze is superb, really gives it impact.
